Clay sculpture

The 4th of March we had the opportunity to work with clay in class. I decided to create a cat. This was the final result:

I like the head, but I do not really like the shape of the body. I struggled with the eyes, so I finally decided not to do them.
I had a lot of fun working with the clay, and it reminded me of when I was little because I loved doing different shapes with it at home.
The 18th of March was time to paint our sculptures. I decided to paint it as my cat: black with green eyes. This time I also struggled with the eyes, but I like the final result.

Transversal

Today we finally presented our transversal project.
We did a theatre play all the seminar together in which a girl called Lily goes to sleep and in her dreams meets Red riding hood and other characters. In this adventure Lily will learn what consent is: no means no.
We all decided the story, the music and made the scenery.

Body

This is the drawing I did of my peer Teresa Vallellano.

Visit to Caixaforum

Today we went to Caixaforum Barcelona in order to visit two expositions: Velázquez i el segle d'or and Toulouse-Lautrec i l'esperit de Montmartre.

First of all, we visited Vélazquez i el segle d'or. I enjoyed watching those paintings and observing all the details they have. In some of them I recognised stories and characters of mythology. I was surprised that there were not many paintings by Velázquez. As the visit was not guided, I did not have a global idea of what I was seeing. I could say the section I liked the most was the part of the families, in which you could dress up and recreate some paitings.
The environment was dark and basic, it did not go with the paintings.
We did not have time to see all the exposition as we needed to go to the other one, but I did not really liked it.







Secondly, we reunited to enter to the exposition Toulouse-Lautrec i l'esperit de Montmartre. This time the visit was guided, so we had headphones to listen to the guide. I really enjoyed this visit, the guide explained us lots of interesting things and I learnt a lot. I loved how the environment was together with the paintings; it felt like I was walking through the streets in Montmartre.
It was great seeing those pieces of art accompanied by an explanation, I would totally repeat the experience.

Silhouette & portrait

These are the silhouette and the portrait I did of my peer Laia Gómez.

Hybrid

This is my hybrid drawing. We had to fusionate two different objects that were related to something we like. I decided to fusionate a snowflake and a fork because I love winter and cooking.
I first had a sketch of the drawing and when I liked how it looked like I drew it on an A3 sheet. In order to paint it, I used grey and blue pastel chalks. For the title I used a brush pen.

I like the result but I do not really like how I wrote the title.
